The Process
The ritual progresses through several stages of body-based work. Each stage has a different focus and is intended to bring attention to aspects of experience that may normally remain outside conscious awareness.
Opening Ritual
We begin by slowing the pace, establishing trust and creating a clear transition from ordinary activity into the session.
Inner Child
This stage relates to early experiences of safety, trust, bodily connection and the ways in which a person first learned to relate to physical sensation. The work is approached through sensation rather than analysis.
Inner Teenager
This stage focuses on the period in which ideas about sexuality, intimacy, the body and desire are often shaped by family, culture, social expectations and external influences. The intention is to create space to experience sensitivity without pressure, performance or predetermined expectations.
Inner Adult
This stage focuses on the capacity to remain present with sensations, emotions and internal states with greater awareness and less automatic control or avoidance.
Upper Body Work
Attention then moves to the neck, shoulders, chest and head — areas where physical tension and habitual holding may accumulate.
Recurring Patterns
The work may bring attention to recurring reactions or patterns that have developed over time and continue to influence how the body responds. In my approach, these may be referred to as karmic imprints.
Integration & Closing
The ritual concludes with meditation, integration and a closing practice, allowing the experience to settle before returning to ordinary activity.
